I count the days until we're gone We're never to return back home Up and leave in dawning light We're heading where the future's bright Late summer sun is in the air And we could go anywhere There's nothing more left to say Guide the way Now we're run-, run-, runnin' free Only you and me Now we're run-, run-, runnin' free Only you and me You and me Runnin' free You and me You and me Recount the days when we were gone I never thought I'd call you home We kept the scent, the summer breeze The polaroids and memories When rays of light cut through the air And we could go anywhere Still nothing more left to say You guide my way Runnin' free You and me Now we're run-, run-, runnin' free Only you and me Now we're run-, run-, runnin' free Only you and me You and me Runnin' free You and me You and me
